Job description

JOB TITLE: Maintenance Mechanic II
LOCATION: Santa Rosa, CA
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire (or Direct Hire – adjust as needed)
PAY RATE: $26 – $30/hr

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining and improving manufacturing equipment to support production efficiency, quality, and uptime. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repair within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform and document preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment
• Maintain PM schedules and records using ERP systems (IQMS or similar)
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Maintain inventory of maintenance parts and supplies
• Source components and equipment for repairs as needed
• Fabricate parts for equipment repair and process improvements
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Follow all safety standards and company procedures
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform additional duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Knowledge of metric and standard tools
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, Teams)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Associate’s degree in Electronics or related field
• Experience working in ISO-regulated environments
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• Exposure to machine shop environment and related hazards
