Position Description
Position Summary:
Assist Journeymen and Apprentices in performing duties as directed by supervisor, including training in shop fabrication processes and job site installations within union contract.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in fabrication and installation of piping and duct products and systems
  • Work with journeymen and apprentices to construct fabrications from drawings
  • Assemble and disassemble scaffold
  • Cut, measure and assemble materials
  • Deliver material to job sites
  • Assist in the loading, unloading, and organized storage of materials
  • Maintain a LEAN working environment
  • Grind and core drill
  • Assist in demolition

Preferred Knowledge, Experience & Skills Requirements:
  • High School Student
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl
  • Conscientious and safety-minded attitude
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record
