Sr. Scientist / Principal Scientist Functional Meat IngredientsThe Senior Scientist / Principal Scientist exhibits independent application and project planning ability, seamlessly integrating creativity, innovation, and presentation skills to provide best in class to support to GLOBAL CLIENT COMPANY clients. The Senior Scientist Meat / Principal Scientist clearly displays strong finished product knowledge with excellent problem-solving abilities. In this role, you will work with established internal and external customer networks to share and leverage products and techniques in the associated category. They act as a team leader and collaborator to contribute to the regional and global technical strategic projects and innovation programs, working independently on tasks with responsibility for high value projects.ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:Prioritize and develop work-plans to manage work for total project of moderate scope. Provide technical guidance on unusual or complex problems.Develop and conduct experiments for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out individually or by others.Create value-added solutions for the meat industry leveraging GLOBAL CLIENT COMPANY portfolio and build strong technical credibility with customers.Experience with meat manufacturing process and industry best practices.Keep up-to-date on trends, new technical developments and competitor?s activities by monitoring applications for processing systems and ingredients.Provide technical services to Customers, Sales and Divisions as needed (plant trials, troubleshooting, and training).Implement and adhere to GLOBAL CLIENT COMPANY core values and safety initiatives.May develop or assist with development of new product and application literature, including technical reports, invention disclosures and patents.Maintain appropriate documentation for experiments,GMPs,FSMA,Bioterrorismand others as required.SalaryUp to $180K + 10% BonusBenefits AvailableJob RequirementsMinimum 5 years working experience in industrial food, ingredient, or flavor industry specifically from the meat industry; prefers someone from a competitive / supplier for functional ingredients but will consider a further meat manufacturer if they bring the experience working and researching functional ingredients.
