Who We Are
A producer-owned pork processor, comprised of 200 dedicated Midwest family farms, focused on providing customers with quality pork products they can trust, in a culture that fosters innovation and opportunity.

Summary
The employee will cut carcasses into its primal pieces including deboning, trimming, sorting, injecting, cutting, and packaging meat to required specifications while ensuring that health and safety standards are met.

Education, Licensure and Experience
Prior harvesting or processing experience in a USDA inspected meat facility preferred.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be a minimum of 18 years of age and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Please note: This in no way states or implies that these are the only duties you will be required to perform. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary and appropriate.):

  1. Remove bones, trim, skin, separate, sort or cut standard or premium cuts of meat to specifications in preparation for further processing or packaging.
  2. Grind pork meat.
  3. Use knives and power tools to process meat.
  4. Set up, adjust, and operate food processing production equipment/machinery.
  5. Clean equipment or machinery on production areas.
  6. Perform specialized fresh meat processing tasks.
  7. Expected to work hands on at high speeds.
  8. Follow all company rules for food and employee safety.
  9. Collect data on all products and analyze the data to ensure products meet all food and safety requirements and customer requirements.
  10. Make on the spot analysis of sample products, determine if there are blood clots in the meat, review meat for any membranes or foreign objects that would be harmful to consumers.
  11. Conduct visual checks and adhere to product specification requirements throughout the manufacturing process to maintain the desired product quality results.
  12. Maintain adequate knowledge of the product and the equipment to ensure safe operating procedures are followed.
  13. uggest changes in workflow process and use of equipment to increase efficiencies of the department and/or production, to maintain the lowest level of downtime and product cost possible, with the goal to create and implement new protocols, which can improve efficiencies or eliminate risks that can affect the Food Safety and Quality in our products.
  14. Other duties as assigned.
