Job Purpose:
- The Meat Cutter at Hugo's Family Marketplace is responsible for expertly cutting, trimming, grinding, and preparing various types of meat to meet customer specifications. This role ensures that all meat products are packaged, weighed, labeled, and priced accurately while maintaining proper rotation and storage to guarantee freshness and quality. The Meat Cutter plays a crucial role in keeping the meat department fully stocked and visually appealing, adhering to safety, sanitation, and temperature guidelines. This position requires the operation of meat-cutting equipment with a focus on quality, cleanliness, and organization, as well as assisting customers with product selection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut, trim, grind, and prepare meat according to customer specifications and company standards.
- Provide custom cuts to meet specific customer requests.
- Package, weigh, label, and price meat products accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure proper rotation and storage of meat products to maintain freshness and quality.
- Keep the meat department fully stocked and visually appealing to enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Adhere to safety, sanitation, and temperature guidelines to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
