Stew Leonard's, a family-owned and operated fresh food store founded in 1969, has locations in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Stew's earned its nickname, the "Disneyland of Dairy Stores" because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop.
Full Time Meat Wrapper
Willing to train - Must be at least 18 years or older.
Pay: $18.00/hr. - $18.25/hr. depending on qualifications and experience
Position Description:
Meat Wrapper prepares freshly cut and trimmed meat merchandise for sale by wrapping, weighing, and pricing. They maintain, fill, and rotate products in the meat cases for quality, freshness, and proper dates. Team members work safely and adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards in each area of the department to provide customers with the highest quality meats.
Your day-to-day as a Meat Wrapper :
  • Safely use/operate meat wrapper
  • Prepare meat merchandise cut by Meat Cutters for sales floor by wrapping, weighing, and pricing all products
  • Maintain, fill, and rotate products in the meat cases for quality, freshness, and proper dates
  • Communicate with Meat Cutters what merchandise is needed for meat cases
  • Check prices based on day of the week for 4 day and weekly ads items
  • Pull all merchandise from meat cases each night for storage in meat cooler
  • Providing excellent customer service by greeting customers and responding to questions
  • Adhere to all health, sanitation and safety regulations
  • Assist in other duties, as assigned
  • Provide exceptional customer service
