Summary
Culinary Supervisor - Lumen Field
Become a part of the Levy team at Lumen Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Sounders FC, Seattle Reign, and world-class concerts and events. As Culinary supervisor, you will oversee a group of culinary professionals and assist the Chefs in executing food preparation for various menus across numerous locations, including Concessions, Suites, Catering, Clubs, and the Main Kitchen. You will play a key role in maintaining the highest food quality and in driving guest satisfaction within the exciting sports & entertainment industry.

Essential Job Duties
Service and Quality
  • Apply culinary preparation skills and train others on proper preparation and food presentation.
  • Prepare hot and cold foods, following company recipes and portioning requirements
  • Execute portioning, arranging and garnishing of food plates for delivery to guests.
  • Oversee and lead the preparation and service of food items for high-volume concessions and premium events
  • Consult with Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to plan menus and estimate expected food consumption.

Leadership
  • Oversee and lead the preparation and service of food items for high-volume concessions and premium events
  • Supervise culinary team members, delivering training and coaching to ensure consistently high production quality.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and collaborative work environment
  • Participates as a leader and team player with specific responsibilities related to preparation, excellent service and delivery of product

Kitchen Operations
  • Reporting any maintenance required for kitchen equipment
  • Assist in the control of food, labor costs, and monthly inventory
  • Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.
  • Conduct regular inspections of all locations to ensure cleanliness and maintenance meets Levy and state health standards.
  • Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • Adhere to Levy Restaurants Company guidelines as stated in the team member training manual and employee handbook

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Possesses the ability to operate standard kitchen equipment including the broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer and chef knife
  • Effective communication skills to interact with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Physical capacity to lift, pull, and push heavy objects
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to complete digital onboarding materials and electronic employment verification

Education, Qualifications, and Experience
  • Professional training through a culinary education or working in a fast-paced fine dining restaurant/catering facility preferred. Previous experience working in a supervisory capacity in a kitchen required
  • Must have and maintain a valid Washington State Food Woker Permit
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must pass background check
