Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Cut, trim, bone, and prepare meat products (beef, pork, poultry, etc.) to specification for retail display and custom orders
  • Grind, slice, and portion meats using manual and powered equipment (band saws, grinders, slicers)
  • Wrap, label, weigh, and price meat products per store/company standards
  • Rotate stock and monitor product for freshness, removing expired or substandard items
  • Maintain clean, sanitary work areas and equipment in compliance with health codes and OSHA standards
  • Follow proper food handling, storage, and temperature control procedures
  • Assist customers with special cuts, orders, and product questions
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming meat shipments for quality and quantity
