Job Summary
Responsible for the delivery and management of the home delivered meals in an area on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays. This person is also responsible for recruiting, leading and supervising volunteers, and overseeing the Home Delivered Meal coordination as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintain all program records and client records to monitor and assess the quality and quantity of services provided
  • Recruit, train and supervise volunteers or workers in the home delivered meals program
  • Maintain a close relationship with our Volunteer Coordinator on recruiting/marketing for Home delivered meal drivers throughout the community.
  • Manage the home delivered meal program - client information, routing, volunteers, reporting, etc. Be prepared to drive the route if no driver is available
  • Receive donations/program income from clients, oversee the monies and deliver to the HDM Transportation Driver to bring back to Tanglewood Park.
  • Develop a transportation system utilizing volunteers if needed
  • Maintain client confidentiality and record security as needed
  • Participate in in-services, meetings and trainings as required by AgeWell Services
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned
  • Arrive at the meal pickup site at the time scheduled
  • Meet with other drivers of other routes as needed.
  • Arrange for substitute drivers when needed.
  • Check route list daily for changes.

  • Count meals to balance to your route sheet before you leave the location.
  • Deliver meals in a timely fashion, taking every precaution to maintain temperature
  • Contact any clients as needed when they do not answer door and/or report any concerns or unusual occurrences to the office or to your supervisor immediately.
  • Work with the office to cancel or hold meals when clients are gone or for any other client needs, this correspondence can be done through email.
  • Distribute donation envelopes on a regular basis and collect donations when offered by client.
  • Turn in donations in weekly to HDM Van Transporter.
  • Distribute other materials as requested.
  • Document accurately on mobile meals program and make sure all meals are accounted for according to instructions.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Be aware that routes change often, and you are expected to be flexible.
  • Complete all record keeping duties weekly and turn in paperwork weekly.
