Job description

Overview

Presbyterian Homes - Optage Meals is seeking a Full Time Meal Packer to join our team.

The Packer for is responsible for meal order fulfillment by preparing and packaging finished meal products for distribution and delivery. This position will stage orders, stock inventory and assembling client meals to order consistent with regulations and established policies, procedures and best practices . The Packer may assist in other Optage Meals departments as directed by a supervisor.

The position isMonday through Friday,7:00am - 3:30pmand will work primarily in a refrigerated environment.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Optage Meals Packer reports directly to the Optage Meals Delivery Manager or designee.

Responsibilities

  • Check for appearance and quality of goods and food items.

  • Assemble goods and food items in preparation of fulfilling client orders.

  • Fill client orders, with frozen meals, snacks, fresh good items into individual delivery bags.

  • Assemble delivery bags by route, and store in designated areas.

  • Seek clarification from supervisor if there is a question regarding fulfillment of client orders correctly.

  • Follow all food quality and safety guidelines.

  • Keep work area in an organized and clean manner.

  • Dispose of waste and breakdown boxes before disposing.

  • Ensure work area is clean and organized before the end of each shift.

  • Check required inventory and supplies daily and submit timely requests to supervisor as needed.

  • Stock freezer and coolers of inventory as supplies arrive.

Qualifications

  • Able to work independently, multi task, and follow directions and be attentive to details; Must be a detail-oriented.

  • Experience working quickly, managing given workload within each day and prioritizing tasks to meet demands.

  • Must be willing to work in a regulated refrigerated environment regularly.

  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.

  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.

Pay Range

The estimated starting pay range for this role is $19.09 - $20.59 per hour. This good faith estimate is based upon PHS’s typical starting pay range for this role. Actual pay range depends on many factors including each individual employee’s qualifications and market conditions and is subject to change.
