Position Overview

The Splicer/MDU Technician is responsible for fiber splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and completing MDU (Multi-Dwelling Unit) installations with accuracy, safety, and professionalism. You will work closely with field leadership to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to OSO’s quality standards.
Requirements

  • Must have a valid ES7 License (Non-negotiable)
  • Experience in fiber splicing (aerial, underground, or both)
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and industry best practices
  • Reliable transportation and basic hand tools
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and splice diagrams
  • Problem-solving mindset and commitment to high-quality work
Preferred Skills (Not Required)

  • OTDR and OLT testing experience
  • Knowledge of MDU layout, cabling, and finishing
  • Experience with restoration work (concrete/asphalt preferred)
