MDS Coordinators work closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and maximize reimbursement for the facility. Their expertise in assessment and documentation is vital for quality assurance and regulatory compliance.

What are some common challenges MDS Coordinator RNs face when managing multiple assessments simultaneously?

MDS Coordinator RNs often juggle several resident assessments at once, which can be challenging due to tight regulatory deadlines and the need for accuracy. Balancing documentation, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with federal guidelines require strong organizational and communication skills.
