Job description

The School of Nursing (Boston Campus) seeks an adjunct faculty member to be an exam proctor.
  • Monitor students while taking exams each period to maintain exam security and avoid any type of cheating
  • Ensures students have the necessary materials for each exam (laptop, passcodes for exams, paper and writing utensils)
  • Enforces time limits and other examination procedures
  • Notifies appropriate personnel when exam equipment malfunctions.
  • Reports rule violations and/or unusual occurrences during examinations
  • Records attendance and exam completion of exam takers.

Required:
  • BSN degree required
  • Basic computer skills (proficient in use of email and Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to give written and oral instructions and to communicate well and professionally
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and to exercise discretion in handling confidential information
  • Maintain working knowledge of School of Nursing testing policies and procedures
  • Excellent time management
  • Strong decision-making abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to focus on one task for extended amount of time
  • Previous experience and knowledge of ExamSoft and HESI software is helful
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended period of time.
