What We Are Looking For
The Director of Resource Development serves in the Division of Athletics. The position will report to the Executive Director of the Bear Foundation for Baylor Athletics and serve as a gift officer with a primarily focus on leadership annual gifts.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Education and Experience
A Bachelor's Degree and 3 or more years of experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Relationship building.

  • Portfolio management.
  • Donor discovery, qualification, and solicitation strategies.
  • Annual fund operations.
  • Premium seating.
  • Microsoft excel, Paciolan ticket systems, and salesforce experience preferred.
  • Quality customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a team setting.

The Bear Foundation is the primary fundraising organization for Baylor Athletics and supports 500 plus student-athletes across all 19 intercollegiate sports. Our mission is to provide scholarship funds for Baylor's student-athletes and to support and promote the interest and welfare of Baylor Athletics.

What Will You Do
  • Manage a portfolio of leadership annual giving donors ($10,000+) with a goal to increase current donors and/or secure new donors
  • Complete metrics centered around monthly visits, dollars and donors secured
  • Manage the courtesy car program by working with car dealerships, coaches and staff and managing the daily operations
  • Serve as the fundraising officer for multiple sport-specific excellence funds by working with coaches and staff to establish and execute an annual fundraising plan for each assigned sport
  • Collaborate with other gift officers in the management, allocation and sales of premium ticket areas for football, men's basketball and women's basketball
  • Serve as a gameday contact for a designated premium area of McLane Stadium
  • Assist with fundraising operations as needed
