The Role
We are looking for a New Business Director to join our team here in NYC. This person will be responsible for leading pitch opportunities, proactively defining and delivering new opportunities and revenue streams to drive growth for the agency. You will be responsible for fully leveraging and championing McCann's powerful industry-leading marketing capabilities, strategic strength and creative brand-building expertise.
What You Will Do
Leading the Win
Operationalize the pitch process as a whole, having the ability to take on the role of "conductor"-orchestrating the pitch process and ensuring a compelling combination of intellect coupled with entertainment, always delivered in an engaging way.
Marshall the necessary relevant resources and teams to leverage all opportunities, and manage the conversion process through to these teams when business is won.
Support active prospecting, establishing good momentum and a sense of ownership in what we bring forward to pursue.
Manage the delivery of RFIs, RFPs, pitch presentations, and all pitch collateral, with a keen eye for detail.
Manage and lead a team to create proactive strategic POVs for chemistry meetings, working very closely with the Strategy team.
Provide seamless pitch project management covering all aspects from kick-off to close, building and governing workstreams to ensure all deadlines are met and work is of the highest possible standard.
Build a Growth-Oriented Culture
Can-do attitude and an adept ability to manage the consistently multiple spinning plates that come from managing new business in an ambitious business.
Strike an effective balance between long-term vision and day-to-day actions.
Help define and shape the new business strategy.

Who You Will Be
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrable previous relevant experiences and skills with the following:
6-8 years experience in Business Development, driving opportunities and exceeding targets.
Experience within a high-growth creative agency.
A clear and strong communicator and collaborator who is able to build trust and confidence among clients and colleagues alike.
Strong strategic understanding and an ambition for creative excellence.
Strong business sense with a keen growth mindset.
Experience and comfort in a fast-paced environment, with an ability to anticipate and respond quickly to change.
Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment or unstructured situations with a high degree of autonomy.
Salary RangeThe salary for this position is $130-150k.
Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; the associated discipline market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
