Job Overview

The Cost Analyst plays a key role in supporting cost management initiatives that drive profitability, operational efficiency, and market competitiveness across the organization. This position works cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Purchasing, and Operations teams to analyze costs, monitor pricing performance, and identify opportunities for process improvement and revenue enhancement. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

What does your day look like?

Some of your duties may include:

Cost Management

  • Use reporting tools and ERP systems to audit and validate costs regularly, recommending updates when necessary.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Operations teams to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of cost management initiatives on overall business performance.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier activity to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Communicate supplier cost changes and pricing impacts to key stakeholders.

Pricing Coordination

  • Partner with Finance and Sales teams to ensure alignment between cost data and customer pricing.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret pricing, sales, and profitability data.
  • Develop and maintain reports that communicate pricing performance and trends to stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for pricing optimization and revenue growth.
  • Support strategic decision-making through data analysis and reporting.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Access.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
