What is a mccabe?

McCabe jobs typically refer to positions at McCabe, which can be a software quality assurance company known for tools like McCabe IQ for code analysis, or it may refer to roles that involve McCabe metrics, such as cyclomatic complexity, in software engineering. These roles often focus on software testing, code quality, static analysis, and ensuring that codebases are maintainable and robust. Position Summary

McCabe Restoration, an Endurant Disaster Recovery company, is seeking a resilient and detail-oriented Mitigation Technician to support the recovery and restoration of residential and commercial properties. Reporting to the Restoration Supervisor, this role is responsible for executing water, fire, and mold mitigation services, including demolition, equipment operation, and site stabilization. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and committed to delivering exceptional service while helping customers navigate challenging situations following a property loss.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Property Assessment: Conduct thorough inspections of damaged structures to evaluate moisture levels and fire impact. Document findings through photos and moisture mapping to assist in the insurance claims process.
  • Production Services: Perform on-site restoration tasks including high-volume water extraction, soot and smoke decontamination, and mold abatement.
  • Precision Demolition: Execute controlled removal of compromised building materials (e.g., drywall, flooring, cabinetry). You must distinguish between salvageable and non-salvageable items to minimize unnecessary loss.
  • Environmental Control: Calculate, set up, and monitor specialized drying environments using LGR dehumidifiers, HEPA air scrubbers, and high-velocity air movers.
  • Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and staged properly for maximum efficiency.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Accurately record daily progress and drying logs. Ensure all work adheres to IICRC standards and OSHA safety guidelines.

Professional Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in restoration, remediation, or heavy construction.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of standard structural drying equipment and advanced demolition techniques.
  • Physical Capabilities: Must be able to lift 50 lbs independently and perform labor-intensive tasks involving overhead work, stooping, and crawling.
  • Availability: Standard shift is 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with frequent overtime. Mandatory on-call availability for emergency response (evenings and weekends) typically twice per month.

Qualifications & Logistics

  • Certifications: IICRC (WRT, ASD, or FSRT) or RIA certifications are preferred and will lead to higher compensation tiers.
  • Residency: Must reside within 20 miles of the Memphis area to meet emergency response time requirements.
  • Compliance: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Candidates must pass a pre-employment and annual background check, drug screening, physical agility test, and E-Verify.
  • Soft Skills: A positive, solution-oriented attitude is required. You must be able to take direction quickly in fast-paced environments while maintaining empathy for property owners.
  • Bilingual Skills: Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish is highly valued for team and client coordination preferred but not required.
