Job description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide strategic and operational expertise and oversight of the MBA Program. Develop and implement a strategic plan for the MBA Program that is in alignment with the division of business and the overall institution. Responsible for MBA admissions process.

Decision marker and primary evaluator of MBA applications. Play a leadership role in the smooth transition of accepted to enrolled MBA students, and assist with orientation and kickoff activities. Process MBA applications in accordance with MBA admission standards.

Develop and implement a recruiting strategy, both short and long term, and work with the Marketing Director to develop marketing plans and outreach strategies for the MBA Program, including advertising, communication flows and web outreach efforts. Keep abreast of national trends in MBA programs, including curricular and modes of delivery. Develop and lead a MBA Advisory Council composed of community business and education leaders.

Facilitate on-going curriculum evaluation to meet the educational needs of the students. Serve as the College's MBA program representative in public appearances including information lunches/sessions, class observations, open houses, association/professional organization and community development events that showcase the College and identify opportunities to expand the MBA program. Understand and uphold IACBE accreditation standards in MBA Program offerings.

Prepares annual IACBE report and responsible for the IACBE self-study process. Maintain strong communication with faculty and administration. Develop class schedules in conjunction with academic chairs and program directors that meet the needs of the program and students.

Assist in mediation and resolution of student and personnel issues, in accordance with college policy, to assure due diligence and fundamental fairness. Recruit, interview, evaluate and recommend faculty for appointment or reappointment. Provide orientation, mentoring and continuing professional development opportunities to MBA faculty.

Develop and administer the MBA budget utilizing input from the VP of Academic Affairs, faculty, and MBA Program Coordinator. The director will have bottom-line responsibility for all revenues generated in the program. and will supervise all full and part-time staff, including the program coordinator, graduate assistants and work study students.

QUALIFICATIONS MBA or equivalent degree is required. Minimum of seven to ten (5-7) years of professional experience in academia, private or public sector, with five (5) years in a significant business management/leadership role. Experience directing or working with an MBA program from an IACBE-accredited school is preferred.

Teaching experience, in particular, experience with online and hybrid course instruction is preferred. Excellent communication and writing skills, follow through and responsiveness to tasks required. Strong organi-zational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and outside parties. Ability to protect highly confidential information; adherence to FERPA and College policies and procedures.
