An MBA Leadership Development Program is a structured, rotational training initiative offered by many large organizations to recent MBA graduates. These programs are designed to cultivate future leaders by exposing participants to various business functions and high-impact projects over a set period, typically 18-36 months. Participants receive mentorship from senior executives, formal training, and hands-on experience in areas such as finance, marketing, operations, or strategy. The goal is to fast-track participants into management or leadership roles within the company upon completion of the program.

What are some typical rotational experiences offered in an MBA Leadership Development Program, and how do they contribute to career growth?

MBA Leadership Development Programs often include structured rotational assignments across multiple business functions such as marketing, operations, finance, and strategy. These rotations expose participants to different aspects of the organization, helping them develop a well-rounded skillset and a strong understanding of the company’s operations. By collaborating with cross-functional teams and taking on challenging projects, participants build a broad professional network and demonstrate their leadership potential. These experiences are designed to accelerate career growth, often leading to higher-level management roles upon completion of the program.

To excel in an MBA Leadership Development Program, you need a strong academic background, analytical skills, and leadership experience, typically supported by a completed MBA degree. Familiarity with business analytics tools, project management software, and financial modeling systems is often required. Job description

Job Title: Director Business Development - Industrial Construction
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Company: The Boldt Company
Anticipated Salary Range: $140,000 - $184,000

At Boldt, we build more than complex projects, and we build strong relationships, great teams, and lasting impact.

We’re looking for a Director of Business Development who believes great work starts with strong relationships. In this role, you won’t be measured by how many leads you generate—you’ll be trusted to build meaningful, long-term partnerships with clients, industry partners, and influencers that position Boldt for the right opportunities. You know how to show up early, listen deeply, and earn trust over time—becoming a valued partner long after a project ever goes to bid. Your ability to connect, understand client needs, and align those needs with how Boldt delivers work is what ultimately drives success.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on relationships but also understands the business behind them. You bring experience in construction or engineering environments and know how projects come together—from contracts and delivery models to execution and outcomes. You see beyond individual projects and focus on building a network, a reputation, and a pipeline rooted in trust and alignment. If you’re someone who values authentic relationships over transactional selling and takes pride in helping shape opportunities that are the right fit for both the client and the business, you’ll find a lot of purpose—and impact—here

The anticipated salary range for this position is $140,000 - $185,000 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
