Job description

Job Summary

A Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on facilities and all necessary equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety standards.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, floors, toilet, mirrors, tables, chairs, refrigerators, microwaves, etc. in restrooms and breakrooms
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, as well as HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on broken or malfunctioning equipment, including electrical appliances, plumbing fixtures, and HVAC units.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and health regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of supplies and equipment
  • Address emergency maintenance requests promptly to minimize downtime and ensure the safety of the facility.
  • Perform Regular maintenance tasks such as changing lightbulbs, unclogging drains, fixing leaks to ensure the cleanliness and functionality of facilities.
  • Conduct routine inspections of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems to identify potential issues and carry out necessary repairs.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance calls and address unexpected breakdowns or damages in the building.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies needed for routine maintenance tasks.
  • Daily empty trash cans into disposal areas
  • Keep manufacturing areas free of debris and dirt
  • Monitor lighting fixtures and replace bulbs, as required
  • Complete purchase requests for replenishment of supplies
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures relating to performance of tasks, use of products or supplies and incident reporting

Minimum Requirements

  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with hands-on experience in maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Good planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance the fulfillment of requirements
  • Ability to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions. Good decision-making skills
  • Meticulous in performing maintenance tasks and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Highly motivated, results oriented, driven
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and report on maintenance activities.
  • Physical demands include walking and standing, climbing, bending, kneeling, push/pull objects, and lift/move objects.
  • At least 6 months to 1-year electrical experience
  • At least 6 months to 1 year HVAC experience
  • At least 6 months to 1 year plumbing experience
