Unreal Technical Artist

Evil Eye Pictures is looking for a fullโ€‘time accomplished Unreal Technical Artist. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of art and animation pipelines in general and of the content creation pipeline in Unreal Engine. A level of technical knowledge combined with strong creative and visual instincts is critical. The Technical Artist will assist teams in tackling projects and be equipped to provide support on complicated technical issues within Unreal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the supervisors to design and build experiences in Unreal Engine.
  • Import assets from DCCs for scene setup and layout.
  • Design materials in Unreal.
  • Be wellโ€‘versed in various lighting techniques in Unreal.
  • Create interaction and functionality using the Unreal Blueprint system.
  • Collaborate, test new features, and provide useful feedback.
Requirements
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine: Sequencer, Materials, and Blueprints.
  • Advanced experience with Maya.
  • Comfortable with a range of content creation software including Photoshop, Adobe Substance Designer/Painter, Zbrush/Mudbox, etc.
  • Strong problemโ€‘solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
