Overview

We are seeking an experienced Signaling & Communications Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a large-scale Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) transformation program within a major passenger rail environment. The successful candidate will bring extensive expertise in rail signaling, communications infrastructure, maintenance operations, and asset management best practices while helping drive the successful adoption of IBM Maximo and modern maintenance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary SME for signaling and communications assets throughout the EAM implementation lifecycle.
  • Advise project teams on maintenance, inspection, reliability, and lifecycle management requirements.
  • Validate business processes, workflows, asset hierarchies, and maintenance strategies.
  • Support requirements gathering, solution design, testing, training, and deployment activities.
  • Bridge communication between engineering, maintenance, operations, and technology stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with FRA, AREMA, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support asset data standardization, migration, and governance efforts.
  • Provide leadership during workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve asset reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in rail signaling and communications infrastructure.
  • Experience with signal systems, interlockings, PTC, grade crossings, fiber networks, SCADA, radio systems, or communications infrastructure.
  • Experience leading or supporting large EAM, CMMS, or IBM Maximo implementations.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance and reliability best practices.
  • Experience working with executive, engineering, maintenance, and IT stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • IBM Maximo experience.
  • Passenger rail experience.
  • ISO 55000 knowledge.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent certifications.

Benefits

Pay Rate: 65$ - 85$ Per Hour
