Overview

Mural Group is partnering with a multi-site industrial manufacturer to hire a Corporate Reliability Engineering Manager.

This role is responsible for improving reliability, equipment uptime, and maintenance performance across multiple manufacturing facilities. The focus is on building systems, standards, and accountability that drive long-term operational performance.


This is a corporate leadership position, not a plant maintenance role. The successful candidate will lead reliability initiatives across several facilities, standardize maintenance practices, establish performance metrics, and help move sites from reactive maintenance toward a structured reliability culture.


We are open to candidates from steel, metals, mining, cement, pulp and paper, chemicals, building materials, foundry, forging, aluminum, or other heavy industrial manufacturing environments. Experience supporting large capital equipment and continuous process operations is required.


Responsibilities

Reliability Leadership

  • Lead deployment of a multi-site Asset Reliability Management Program
  • Standardize preventive maintenance, outage planning, and root cause analysis processes
  • Establish reliability KPIs and reporting standards across sites
  • Drive initiatives that improve equipment uptime and reduce unplanned downtime

Multi-Site Support

  • Lead and mentor reliability and maintenance engineering resources across multiple facilities
  • Partner with plant leadership, maintenance teams, and engineering groups
  • Travel to sites to review performance, coach teams, and support implementation efforts

Performance Improvement

  • Identify reliability gaps and implement corrective actions
  • Develop and maintain maintenance and reliability standards
  • Benchmark performance across facilities and replicate best practices
  • Support capital projects and reliability improvement initiatives

Maintenance Systems

  • Partner with CMMS teams to improve PM compliance and data quality
  • Improve maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution processes
  • Utilize maintenance data to drive decision making and continuous improvement


Requirements

Industry Experience

  • Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing environments
  • Background supporting large capital equipment and continuous process operations
  • Experience working in facilities that convert raw materials into finished products
  • Experience with environments such as metals, steel, aluminum, mining, cement, foundry, forging, pulp and paper, chemicals, aggregates, or similar industries

Technical Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or industrial operations leadership
  • Experience implementing RCM, RCA, FMEA, or structured reliability programs
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Experience utilizing CMMS platforms such as Maximo, SAP PM, or similar systems
