Maximo MAS Technical Developer

Responsibilities

The Senior Maximo Technical Developer will be responsible for developing and supporting IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS 9.x) solutions and participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including technical design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. This individual will work closely with technical and functional teams to deliver scalable and sustainable Maximo solutions that align with business requirements and enterprise architecture standards.

A significant portion of this role will focus on the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF). The consultant will design, develop, and support enterprise integrations utilizing Enterprise Services, Publish Channels, Invocation Channels, Object Structures, End Points, and External Systems. The developer will be expected to troubleshoot integration issues, optimize performance, and support both real-time and batch processing integrations between Maximo and other enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate will have experience integrating Maximo with enterprise systems such as SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle ERP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, ServiceNow, GIS platforms, SCADA systems, and OSI PI Historian. Experience developing and supporting REST APIs, SOAP web services, JSON, XML, and middleware-based integrations is highly desirable.

This role also requires strong custom development experience within Maximo. The consultant will develop and maintain custom business logic using Java, Jython, JavaScript, and Automation Scripts. Responsibilities include creating custom applications, extending Maximo Business Objects (MBOs), configuring workflows and escalations, implementing business rules, and supporting application enhancements that improve operational efficiency and user experience.

The successful candidate will possess strong experience with Maximo Automation Scripting and will leverage scripting capabilities to support business process automation, workflow enhancements, integration processing, data validation, and operational improvements. Experience supporting complex enterprise workflows and automation initiatives is highly preferred.

In addition, the consultant will support database development and performance optimization activities.
