Job Summary

The Maximo & Business Consulting Specialist is a key participant in the management and support of fossil generation applications and processes. This includes identifying, evaluating, prioritizing and implementing enhancements to Vistra’s EAM solution (Maximo) and other integrated systems and data in a way that contributes to the safe, reliable, regulatory‑compliant, and cost‑effective operation of the generation and mining fleets, as well as corporate organizational processes.

Job Description
  • Work closely with process stakeholders (Generation, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Audit, Finance and Accounting, Tax, Technology Services, and Key Alliance Partners) in the use of processes performed within generation applications such as Maximo.
  • Contribute to the development, review and approval of policies, standards, procedures, and metrics affecting the use of technology in support of fleet applications.
  • Team work and collaboration skills with all levels within the organization.
  • Able to communicate complex processes or issues effectively through written and verbal communication in large or small group settings.
  • Able to influence by establishing effective working relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Able to apply a broad range of problem solving processes and/or techniques to address complex issues.
  • Occasional long, irregular hours including work in excess of 12-hour days for extended periods.
  • Frequent travel between company facilities, and occasional overnight travel.
  • High School Diploma and 12 years related job experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or computer science related field and 16 years related job experience.
  • Recognized subject matter expert for an application or process specific to the power generation industry.
  • Expertise with data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Power BI, and Excel.
