  • Work with the maintenance planning team to develop and optimize preventive maintenance schedules that align with production requirements and equipment availability.

  • Conduct maintenance planning and maintenance reliability functions as required to learn the site processed to identify areas of opportunity for efficiency improvements within maintenance planning and execution.

  • Analyze equipment performance and failure data to identify recurring issues and recommend reliability improvements.

  • Collaborate with maintenance supervisors in the field to optimize workflow processes, reduce equipment downtime, and improve overall maintenance efficiency.

  • Participate in root cause analysis of equipment failures and develop action plans to prevent recurrence.

  • Support the optimization of condition-based monitoring technologies to transition from reactive to predictive maintenance strategies.

  • Integrate within the production planning, maintenance, and reliability teams to provide recommendations for daily practices on site.

  • Foster strong communication with the customer's Mining Automation team to enhance planning and maintenance efficiency.

  • Stay updated with industry best practices, technological advancements, and emerging trends in mine planning, maintenance, and reliability.

  • Promote and ensure adherence to all safety standards and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a mining technical role, including mine planning, reliability, maintenance planning/scheduling, or operations.

  • Post-secondary education in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in BC or Alberta is an asset.

  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP, Maximo, or similar platforms.

  • Proficiency in using office programs like MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrated understanding of best practices in mine design, planning, and operations.

  • Knowledge of reliability centered maintenance (RCM) principles and predictive maintenance technologies.

  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and project management skills.

  • Technical proficiency in mine planning software such as Civil CAD, Vulcan, Deswik, or similar tools.

  • Commitment to safety and risk management in mining operations.
