What is a Maximo Functional Consultant?

Maximo Functional Consultants are professionals who specialize in configuring, implementing, and optimizing IBM Maximo, an enterprise asset management (EAM) software. They work closely with organizations to understand their business processes, translate requirements into Maximo system configurations, and provide training and support to end-users. Their responsibilities often include system setup, process mapping, workflow design, and ensuring that Maximo solutions align with business goals. Maximo Functional Consultants act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders to maximize the value of the Maximo platform.

How does a Maximo Functional Consultant typically collaborate with technical teams during an implementation project?

Effective communication and documentation are critical, as the consultant bridges the gap between end users and technical staff, helping to ensure the solution is both technically sound and user-friendly.
