Job description

Journeyman Data Technician (Open Call - Union 611)
Location: Albuquerque and surrounding area
We are currently seeking 2+ Journeyman Data Technicians. This is an active open call through the union hall. Qualified individuals are encouraged to check the books and take the call if they meet the requirements.
Qualifications
  • Active New Mexico ES-3J or ES-7J Journeyman License required (must be in good standing)
  • BICSI Certification preferred (Copper/Fiber or Technician)

Experience & Capabilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and industry symbols
  • Install and route cabling pathways per specifications
  • Terminate and test single-mode and multi-mode fiber optics
  • Install, certify, and document Layer One cabling systems, including:
    • Copper
    • Fiber
    • Coax
    • CATV / MATV
    • Telecommunications infrastructure
  • Terminate connectors such as ST, SC, LC, MTRJ, and equivalents
  • Install and test security, CCTV, and alarm system devices
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
