Job description

a.i. solutions is seeking a highly-motivated Systems Engineer to support the Reagan Test Site (RTS) Engineering and Technical Services (RETS) Program in Huntsville, AL. The Systems Engineer will support ballistic missile, guided weapon and aeronautical tests and evaluations as well as support space situational awareness operations and experiments. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to embrace the a.i. solutions mission and work to continually exceed the expectations of our customers.Essential Functions
  • Serve on console to support real-time flight test execution as instrumentation controller or analytical positions.
  • Assist in the design of test plans in support of user requirements for complex missile flight tests.
  • Participate in risk management assessment and software/hardware development of test configurations.
  • Provide support for radar project development.
  • Assist in diagnostic efforts related to problems uncovered by system tests. 
  • Provide recommendations for system improvements and modifications. 
Required Skills
  • Understanding of radar fundamentals and electro-magnetic wave theory.
  • MATLAB programing proficient.
  • Familiarity with UNIX/LINUX.
  • Familiarity with MS Office including Visio, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Ability to interface at a technical level with engineers from varying backgrounds. 
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related engineering discipline.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • Radar engineering, operations and maintenance experience desired.
  • Support occasional TDY travel to Kwajalein Atoll.
  • Project Management experience desired.
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
