Job description

itD is seeking an Instructional Content Developer to support internal change management initiatives related to the HR services and functions. This role will focus on developing engaging, clear, and effective materials that emphasize the value proposition for the learner with more of a marketing feel, engaging instructional assets that leverage creative visual engagement and interaction.

This is fully remote role, but must work and support EST hours.

Internal Responsibilities:
  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings.

  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.

  • Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).

  • Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.

  • Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).

  • Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.

Job Title: Instructional Content Developer
Duration: 3mos
Location: 100% Remote EST

Pay: DOE + Full Benefits

Required Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess:
• Instructional Asset Creation: Skilled in developing ready-to-run training decks, job aids, quick reference guides, and user documentation that support tool and process training.
• Engaging Video Creation: Adept at creating and/or editing existing video content to explain soft skills, behavioral changes, "What's in it For Me" messaging, and step-by-step system walkthroughs using Camtasia.
• eLearning Development Expertise: Proficient in Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise) to create interactive modules, video tutorials, and screen-recorded walkthroughs.
• Execution-Focused Collaboration: Able to work independently while partnering with instructional designers to execute on pre-defined strategies and deliverables efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications
• 3+ years experience creating and/or editing video content using Camtasia
• 3+ years experience in designing and developing eLearning courses using Articulate Rise & Storyline, EasyGenerator or Captivate
• 3+ years experience in technical writing

This role supports internal change management initiative by enabling teams to adopt new systems and processes ahead process/tool launches. High-quality instructional materials will accelerate user adoption, reduce training time, and ensure a smooth transition across recruiting operations.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• 5+ years designing and developing multi-layered/multifaceted elearning and self-paced learning content to support systems implementations in large (25,000+) corporations
• Experience using AI and AI enhanced tools during the development process
• Collaborative work style that fosters a partnership with other instructional designers and learning architects to ensure all deliverables align with learning strategy
• Ability to design in-the-flow-of-work enablement assets that provide a seamless user experience while they are conducting their work in new tools and processes
• Ability to translate existing content and process documentation into learner-friendly formats such as job aids, quick reference guides and playbooks
• Willingness to support additional tool and process training requirements for HR functions and services
• Ability to deliver high-quality, on-brand instructional materials on a tight timeline and drives customer impact
