The Retail Sales Clerk provides excellent customer service and actively promotes the selling of merchandise, operates a cash register and handles all payment transactions for purchase. The Retail Sales Clerk receives, unpacks, folds and puts away the daily deliveries of merchandise.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

  • One year in retail sales or equivalent experience preferred

  • Must pass pre-employment Math test with score of 80% or better.  20 problem minimum
  • Literate and fluent in basic English

  • Good math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing

  • Excellent guest service skills

  • Be knowledgeable about the Total Rewards program and hotel/casino amenities

  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Ability to bend, crouch, turn, and reach overhead.

  • Ability to respond to visual and verbal cues

  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and cash registers

  • Ability to stand on hard floors

  • Mobility to move about the work area

  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds

  • Must be able to lift overhead and climb a ladder for stocking purposes

    Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy 
    environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products.  Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.

  • Greets all internal and external guests using Own the Moment initiatives to provide friendly, courteous, excellent service.

  • Demonstrates a pleasant and enthusiastic demeanor at all times.

  • Maintains awareness/security of retail floor, products, services and guests.

  • Assists customers and guests providing information about retail outlet, merchandise and property events, promotions, restaurants and/or hotel amenities.

  • Encourages multiple sales by offering additional/complimentary products and/or services.

  • Performs retail cashier duties and accurately maintains accompanying paperwork.

  • Balances all monies at end of shift.

  • Maintains general housekeeping duties, ensuring the clean, neat and professional appearance of the outlet and its merchandise.

  • Responsible for answering the phone and assisting caller including transfers to appropriate extension, answering questions, providing information etc.

  • Regularly provides feedback and information to Shift Supervisor regarding inventory levels of merchandise, customer feedback/perceptions.
