SPECIAL EDUCATION: GENERAL CURRICULUM LICENSURE
  • Candidates must hold or be eligible to hold a teaching license in the Special Education: General Curriculum license area (88091).
  • Non-licensed, residency licensure candidates are eligible based upon holding a Bachelor's degree with a minimum 2.7 GPA, and 24 semester hours of related courses; OR passing scores on Praxis II test 5543, Pearson Foundations of Reading test AND either the Praxis 7813 Math test or the Math subtest of the Pearson General Curriculum test.
  • Examples of related courses include:
  • Birth-Kindergarten, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, English/Language Arts, Family Studies, Mathematics, Psychology, Reading, Sciences, Social Studies, Sociology, Special Education
