Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
Valid Florida teaching certificate in mathematics
Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level
Additional training and/or coursework may be necessary as required by the district
Performance Responsibilities:
Promote and facilitate teachers' use of successful research-based instructional strategies
Collaborate with individual teachers through short and long-term coaching, co-planning, co-teaching
Assist in the selection and development of standard based curriculum resources and assessments
Participate in the interpretation of data and plan approaches to improve instruction and student achievement
Facilitate professional development in content, lesson planning, instructional strategies, and the implementation of the Florida Standards
Serve as a member of the district Mathematics Leadership Committee to improve mathematics teaching and learning
Assist in the development of district-wide instructional focus calendars
Assist in the development of district-wide mathematics programs and initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Secondary Programs and/or designee
