The Role
As a Math Content Coach (Math Teacher), you will serve as the primary instructional resource for our Graduation Candidates (GCs), delivering competency-based content, supporting personalized learning, and guiding students toward graduation and post-secondary success. You'll work with a collaborative team to provide academic, social-emotional, and career-oriented support that empowers each learner's journey.
This position is part of a new academy launch, with hiring aligned to support the upcoming academic year.
Key Responsibilities
Enrollment
  • Support new GC enrollment through recruitment and engagement efforts
  • Assist with the development of Personalized Learning Plans for GCs

Retention
  • Serve as an advisor for assigned GCs by maintaining communication with learners and their support team
  • Monitor attendance, academic progress, and overall wellness to ensure consistent engagement and achievement

Academics
  • Plan and deliver content-area instruction in both individual and small group settings
  • Monitor GC academic progress toward course completion and mastery using formative and summative assessments
  • Analyze and use academic data to inform instruction and improve outcomes
  • Provide remediation and enrichment opportunities to address learning gaps and accelerate success
  • Participate in professional development, data meetings, and school/community events

Advocacy
  • Collaborate with the GC support team to develop personalized learning pathways, transition strategies, and incentive plans
  • Represent the academy in community events and contribute to academy-wide initiatives
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the academy's mission

What We're Looking For
Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred
Licensure: Florida 6-12 secondary certification in Mathematics (REQUIRED)
Experience: 2+ years of teaching experience (high school preferred)
Skills: Strong communication, time management, instructional planning, and collaboration skills
Passion: A deep commitment to helping at-risk youth succeed academically and personally
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in non-traditional or at-risk youth settings
  • Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
