Job description

We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Special Education Math Teacher to join a leading Company located in the Glen Allen, VA surrounding area.

Salary: $60,000 - $68,000

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver differentiated daily lesson plans based on individual needs and learning styles
  • Observe and evaluate student performance in academics and social skill development, including short- and long-term goal assessment
  • Provide meaningful information to assist with developing IEP/IAPs, which are prepared by our IEP/IAP Liaisons
  • Maintain confidentiality and keep appropriate documentation of family contact
  • Complete grades and comments for interim reports and report cards adhering to the required timeline
  • Collaborate with other faculty in planning and delivering instruction to students, including teaching a daily Advisory class, our proprietary social skills curriculum 

Basic Hiring Criteria: 
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education, preferably in Special Education or Mathematics
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience preferred; successful student teaching experience accepted in place of prior teaching experience
  • Must hold a valid Virginia teaching license
