Within Azure Data, the Insights and Analytics team is building andmaintaininginternal analytics and reporting platform running on Microsoft Fabric toprovideinstant insights to the Azure Data engineeringteamleadership, Product Managers and Engineers. The team also acts as a first customer of newly developed products and features running them in a production environment while working together with product managers and engineers on providing product development feedback.

Responsibilities

* Create executive-ready reports, dashboards, webappsand presentations with leading edge esthetics as well as ease of use and best in class navigation for storytelling via Power BI and agentic experiences. Ensure consistency,performanceand reliability across reporting assets.
* Drive Scalable Analytics: Implement semantic models, self-serviceprocessesand artificial intelligence-based solutions to improve speed and efficiency of decision making.
* Translate Strategy into Data Solutions: Convert business needs into technical requirements and guide decisions through high-impact analytics. Enable high quality and efficient AI agentic experiences across our platform. Drive automation and efficiency improvements through AI.
* Shape Platform Evolution: Through strategic collaboration with the Data Engineering team, influence how data is ingested, transformed, and consumed, contributing to platform strategy and scaling impact across teams.
* Apply advanced techniques such as DAX, Power Query, Fabric Notebooks, Ontology, AIskillsand semantic modeling to deliver scalable insights.
* Perform data exploration via analytical tools, query languages (SQL, KQL) and agentic experiences

Required/MinimumQualifications

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling, or data engineering OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling, or data engineering OR equivalent experience.

Data Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
