Job description

Greenwood Hospitality and Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Food and Beverage Supervisor for The Publisher Hotel in Fredericksburg, VA.

The pay range for this position is $20-$22 an hour based on experience and qualifications.

About the Role:

The F&B Supervisor at The Publisher Hotel plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant and bar during evening hours. This position is responsible for overseeing daily front-of-house activities, managing staff performance, and delivering exceptional customer service to create a welcoming experience. The supervisor will coordinate with kitchen and management teams to maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety compliance. Additionally, the role involves training and mentoring team members to uphold the restaurant and bar’s values and operational procedures. Ultimately, the F&B Supervisor contributes to the overall success and reputation of AC Hotel.by fostering a positive work environment and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work early morning shifts and manage a dynamic team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Experience working in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting.
  • Proficiency with restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems.
  • Certification in food safety (e.g., ServSafe).
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on team development and customer service excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of front-of-house staff during evening shifts to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Monitor customer interactions and promptly address any issues or concerns to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in training, and performance evaluations to build a motivated and skilled team.
