Job description

Job Summary: The Intervention Teacher is responsible for supporting student achievement with special attention to Tier II
and III instruction. The Interventionist provides individual or small group instruction to students who are
struggling academically. This position is also responsible for monitoring, reporting, communicating student
progress and performance, and collaborating with general education staff.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate, preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
One year of student teaching or approved internship, preferred
