Assistant Professor Mathematics Education-Tenure Track

South Carolina States College of Education, Humanities, and Social Sciences seeks an Assistant Professor of Mathematics Education (Tenure Track). The selected candidate must be passionate about teaching and inclusive pedagogy; dedicated to developing meaningful, collegial working relationships with students, faculty, and staff across campus; and committed to actively contributing to SCSU's Teacher Education mission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Math Education students during Field Clinical Experience
  • Assist in Program Coordination
  • Teach courses face-to-face on campus
  • Teach classes online when necessary

Minimum Requirements for entry into position:
Ph.D. in Mathematics Education
Preferred Requirements for Entry into position:
  • Ph.D in Mathematics with experience in K-12
  • Demonstrated experience in the K-12 setting
  • Experience in teaching at the higher education level
  • Evidence of strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective written communication skills
