Hours:ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย 19 Hrs/Week (Monday Friday)
Salary Range: ย ย ย ย  $18.52 - $23.56 per hr

POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of instructional and/or support duties to assist the school and teachers in instruction, supervision, and education of students with special needs (medical and/or disability) and students requiring educational/behavioral interventions in regular education classroom settings (inclusion), one-on-one, Resource Room, and pull-out (intervention) instruction.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:











  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fingerprint-based criminal history verification clearance.
  • Paraprofessional certification (or ability to obtain through district).
  • Basic principles and practices of instructional program within area of assignment.
  • Apply prescribed instructional program in small and large group settings and in an individual tutoring setting.
  • Be trained in instructional and behavioral intervention methodologies in such content areas as reading, writing, and mathematics, and in such areas as safety, medication, and intervention systems.
  • Physically perform tasks.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively as a team member.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation, basic bookkeeping, as required of specific assignment.
  • Modern office methods, practices, procedures and computer equipment.
  • Work in an environment with frequent interruptions and changing tasks and priorities.
  • Follow written and verbal directions and take the initiative to seek clarity and take action when needed.
