Essential Job Functions
  • Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in College Algebra, Calculus, and Trigonometry

Qualifications
  • Must be currently enrolled at Alcorn State University
  • Minimum grade of B
  • Demonstrated proficiency in College Algebra, Trigonometry, and Calculus
  • Excellent understanding of trigonometric functions, especially sin, cos, and tan
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependable, responsible, and committed to consistent availability throughout the academic year

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
The Alcorn State University Math Center is seeking highly motivated and proficient student tutors to provide academic support in College Algebra, Calculus, and Trigonometry. Ideal candidates must demonstrate strong competency in mathematical concepts including sine (sin), cosine (cos), tangent (tan), and other foundational and advanced topics. Tutors will assist fellow students in understanding coursework, solving problems, and preparing for exams in a supportive and professional learning environment.
