GenMec ACL Inc. is currently seeking a motivated and reliable Skilled Trades Assistant with residential and/or commercial siding experience to support our growing construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and is looking to grow their career in the construction industry.


What You'll Do

  • Assist with the installation, repair, and replacement of various siding systems including vinyl, Hardie board, metal, and composite products.
  • Measure, cut, and prepare materials for installation.
  • Install trims, flashings, soffits, fascia, and weather barriers.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Assist carpenters, foremen, and other skilled trades as required.
  • Perform general construction labour duties including material handling, site clean-up, and equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow company and client safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor or Foreman.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 1-3 years of siding installation experience preferred.
  • Experience working on commercial construction projects is considered an asset.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic construction math.
  • Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable transportation considered an asset.
  • Safety certifications such as CSTS, Fall Protection, or Elevated Work Platform training are considered an asset.
