Job description

Maternal Child Health Level II NICU/ MB Nurse
Job Description Summary
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate RN to join our Maternal Child Health/Level II NICU Team in providing outstanding care to our maternity and newborn patients.
Responsibilities
Newborn Care

โ€ข Admission & Assessment: This RN will assess the health and well-being of newborns in the transition period immediately following birth by, monitoring vital signs, performing initial exams, and identifying any potential issues. Also taking patients who are in our inpatient Level II NICU
โ€ข Care: They provide essential newborn care to our well newborns as well as our NICU patients including birth admission, transition, as well as assisting with procedures like circumcisions, EKGs ECHOs.
โ€ข Outpatient support & care in our Outpatient Bilirubin Clinic- responsible for patients who are rescheduled for repeat labs.
Maternal Care
โ€ข If necessary due to staffing and acuity this RN will be part of the Postpartum Care team and be assigned well newborn patients.
Experience Requirements:
โ€ข Current NJ Licensed RN
โ€ข Level 2 Nursery experience is required
โ€ข Previous mother baby couplet experience a plus
โ€ข BLS through the American Heart Association and NRP certifications
โ€ข Intermediate computer skills, excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
โ€ข Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods with the ability to lift, push and pull
