Job description

The Lee County Health Department is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as the Director of Maternal & Child Health. This is a full-time supervisory position offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of women, children, and families throughout Lee County. 

The Director of Maternal & Child Health will coordinate and direct the work of the department's Maternal & Child Health division, including:

  • WIC (Women, Infants & Children)
  • Better Birth Outcomes
  • Lead Prevention & Screening
  • Immunization Programs

This position will also serve as an active member of the Lee County Health Department's management team, contributing to department-wide planning, program development, and decision-making. 

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • BSN preferred for candidates without previous maternal and child health experience
  • Experience in maternal and child health, public health, or a related area is preferred
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, community partners, and the public
  • Ability to coordinate multiple programs and provide effective supervision and direction
