Where is the work:

On-Site (5 days)Trane Technologies has an exciting opportunity for an on-site position in our Engineering Test Laboratory (Lab) asaLaboratory Materials & Inventory Control Technician. Your primary function in this position is Material and Inventory Control (MIC) support to the R&D Laboratory as well as product design engineeringteamsthroughprocurement planning and execution;shipping and receiving;warehouseinventory,organization,and managementincludingmaterial/unittransportation anddisposal;data entryand compliance documentation. The job requires problem-solving, troubleshooting, and collaboration with other Lab and Engineering team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Core Job Responsibilities (others may be added):
  • Work safely and maintain a safe work area in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Planand execute procurement ofequipment, tools,andsuppliesto support laboratoryoperations and engineering product teams.
  • Manage,organize,track,and dispose ofparts, units, and equipmentinventoryforthe Laboratorytool cribandwarehousestoragelocations.
  • Finalize and validate logistical planning, performance,and documentationofshipping and receiving activitiesfor laboratoryandproductengineeringmaterialsin accordancewith regulatoryand companyrequirements.
  • Properly and safely prepare units, parts, and materials for storage and/ordisposalin cooperation with product test teams.
  • Safelyand effectively operatepowered industrial vehicles to includeforklifts, overhead cranes, andothermaterial handlingequipmentas necessarytofulfill theaboveresponsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degreein Logistics,Inventory Management, Procurementand Purchasing (or a related field)and at least3-years of relevant work experience; OR at least 5-years relevant work experience is required.

Key Competencies:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
  • Forklift and other powered industrial vehiclecertificationor a willingness to become certified.
  • EPA Type Universal Certification or willingness to become certified is preferred.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in order to listen and speak effectivelywith individuals andgroups of customers or employees in the organization
  • Ability to understand and follow current work instructions and applicable laboratory proceduresandstandards.
  • Well organizedwith theabilitytocreate and maintainrecordsrelated to purchasing, shipping andreceivingactivities includingdomestic and internationalregulatory compliance
  • Good mechanical aptitudeand the ability to operatepower hand toolsand powered industrial vehicles (e.g. forklift, motorized pallet handlers)
  • Abasic understanding of HVAC equipment, parts,and materials.
  • Ability to help solve practical problems and deal with a variety of complex variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced team environment.

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:

$52,630.00 - $74,340.00
