JOB DESCRIPTION:
SUPPLY CHAIN - MATERIALS EXCELLENCE CO-OP This co-op position is for students majoring in Supply Chain Management, Materials, Operations, or Purchasing. This position provides an opportunity to learn the business of a premier commercial vehicle supplier from various perspectives within the company. A co-op in this role works primarily in the Materials department.
Job Responsibilities
• Analyze scheduling techniques and parameters to reduce inventory and achieve days-of-supply targets
• Aid in the process of inventory and demand forecasting as related to the Sales and Inventory Operating Plan (SIOP)
• Assist in manufacturing inventory control
• Participate in the development and implementation of innovative and beneficial programs aimed at improving customer satisfaction, inventory management, and operational efficiency
• Identify and coordinate supplier "buy back" opportunities
• Serve as a project management liaison - work with IT, Plant Materials, Operations Personnel, and other functional disciplines
• Collaborate with manufacturing facilities for disposition of excess and obsolescent material
• Assist in standardizing Materials Planning Processes
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory metrics
• Collaborate with Global Purchasing Excellence to evaluate supplier delivery performance
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
• Currently attending an accredited college or university
• 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional analytical skills • Ability to establish trust and credibility
• Strong troubleshooting skills • Strong written and oral communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft® Office Tools: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
GENERAL INFORMATION
Hours and Location: 40-hour work week on-site in Avon, Ohio (20 miles west of Cleveland)
Pay Rate: Contingent upon credit hours
