Supply Tech - Materials Management Tech- Warehouse - Inventory Clerk
Tuesday-Saturday Overnight shift

Position Responsibilities:
  • Acts as Supply Chain Service's liaison and resource between Surgical Services, Central Processing Department and other hospital departments, staff members, patients, patient family, visitors and vendors
  • Assist Central Processing with deliveries to the floors and other daily departmental operations such as; perform inventory replenishment for stock and equipment, process receipts of all supply and equipment received
  • Performs daily inventory updates and adjustments through cycle counts and the preference list process to maintain established inventory par levels
  • Brakes down delivered packages and verifies purchase orders against delivery slips
  • Ensures all overnight orders are given priority and delivered promptly to the charge nurse the same day of receipt
  • Handle medical/surgical supplies and equipment on a priority basis as specified and directed by supervisor
  • Rotates stock ensuring that the oldest stock is next to be used and inspects for expired items and removes expired items from stock
  • Assists in performing inventory replenishment process including the proper use of the automated inventory programs for supply replenishment, tissue and equipment tracking
  • Reviews surgery schedule to ensure that special request items, non-stock and inventory items are available for surgical cases
  • Prepares surgical services case carts using the preference card pick ticket
  • Maintains MM-OR storeroom sterility, safety and security by wearing appropriate attire, not eating in work areas, and removing all trash and debris daily
  • Participates in Supply Chain Services formal year-end physical inventories

Requirements:
  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • At least one year experience in a healthcare setting, preferred.
  • Some experience in warehouse materials handling, preferred.
  • Some experience using an computerized inventory system preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical/surgical products preferred.
