This position analyzes RFQ requirements, Bills of Material (BOMs), CAD models, drawings, and other technical information to determine material types, quantities, sizes, and associated costs. Essential FunctionsDaily roles include collaborating in a team-oriented environment with cross functional workers. Evaluate the material content for every component contained within the RFQEnter costs within specified material & commercial item documentsMaintain knowledge of the material supplier and sub-tier supplier marketInteract with supply baseContribute to corporate quality policy and objectivesMeasure modeled componentsOrder material off of the B.O.M. or from CAD Model and add stock where required for machiningDetermining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or productRegular, consistent, and punctual attendanceFollow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance Other duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills and CompetenciesAbility to read and interpret Bills of Material (BOMs), CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation.Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and how material size, type, and machining requirements impact cost.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Good communication and organizational skills.Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent experience in a related position.Basic CATIA V5 experience or experience with another CAD system preferred.Blueprint reading experience preferred; training may be provided.Apply today and build your future with Visioneering.
