Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a skilled Senior Associate Engineer with a strong background in materials and processes engineering to join our team. The ideal candidate will have exposure to the aerospace industry as well as a materials engineering background. This role has both program facing and lab responsibilities. The role will report up within the materials engineering group and be based in Redmond, WA

Essential Functions:

  • Perform lab evaluations of metallurgical specimens leveraging tools such as optical and electron microscopy
  • Update and enhance materials specifications and other program requirements
  • Interface with the internal manufacturing team to support processing on-site
  • Ability to obtain a US LEVEL security clearance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Exposure to a variety of materials characterization techniques
  • Exposure to chemical or industrial environments and appropriate safety practices
  • Benchtop chemistry and lab expertise

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $76,500 - $141,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
