Job Summary

The Dental Assistant plays an essential role in supporting our dentists and ensuring each patient has a smooth, comfortable experience. This position involves preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, managing sterilization, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures.

  • Sterilize and organize instruments, equipment, and materials.

  • Assist the dentist chairside during all dental procedures.

  • Take and process digital dental radiographs (X-rays).

  • Record treatment information and patient notes in electronic records.

  • Take and document medical and dental histories and vital signs.

  • Provide postoperative and preventive care instructions to patients.

  • Maintain and monitor inventory of dental supplies and equipment.

  • Fabricate temporary restorations and pour, trim, or polish study models.

  • Assist with dental emergencies as directed by the dentist.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting program (preferred).

  • 1-2 years of dental assisting experience preferred.

  • X-ray certification and CPR/BLS certification required.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
