If you're reliable and fast on your feet, we'd like to meet you - Apply with us where we will support and guide you through the path you choose.Job OverviewThe primary function of the Material Handler is to operate the required equipment necessary in the transporting of raw materials, cartons, cardboard cores, paint drums and totes, skids, and finished product in an efficient manner, minimizing material damage.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.Perform all duties to the safety standards established as they relate to the position.Qualified to operate all material handling equipment efficiently as determined by successful completion of training program.Perform daily maintenance checks of assigned equipment and operates in a manner that minimizes maintenance costs.Stock, remove and transport materials to and from storage in all departments (raw materials, finished products, cartons, etc...) in a manner that minimizes material damage and loss.Identify specific finished products, raw materials, etc...and maintain plant storage areas according to material location requirements.Be aware of and employ proper stacking techniques.Load and unload trucks, completing all necessary paperwork and data entry, and transport material to proper storage areas.Accurately verify inventory tags, labels, product count, correct item number, etc...QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent1-3 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience in operating material handling equipment preferredAbility to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and lift heavy materials up to & over 50lbsFunction successfully in a high-paced and at times stressful environmentContribute to team efforts by communicating and working well with othersExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesComputer skills are a must and attention to detail is critical.Vorteq Perks401(k) matchingHealth, Dental, & Vision InsuranceLife insurance - Company PaidPaid Time Off - AccrualReferral Program - Earn up to $1,750.00401K - Company MatchGrowth OpportunitiesShift8 hours, rotating weekly, shifts.
